Warehouse Lead
Summary:
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for supervision and training of Material Handlers who are ultimately handling all receiving, issuing and delivering of materials to internal customers in support of the master schedule. The Warehouse Lead is also responsible for ensuring all part shipments are packaged and made as required by customer orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Schedule and supervise Material Handler’s workload, to include assigning and monitoring of overtime required to meet demands set forth by the Master Scheduler, Fabrication Manager, Assembly Manager and the Parts Group to include routine evaluation of performance.
- Responsible for training and cross training all Material Handlers, to include all daily tasks (part shipment, receiving, order picking, work cell part delivery & painted part disbursement) and all required ISO documents/procedures.
- Review and approve Material Handler weekly time punch and time off requests.
- Maintain the Material Handler Training and Training Matrix.
- Provide Braun WH staff training for all staff lift equipment.
- Compile Machine Order System Install Kits for on-time shipment.
- Work with purchasing, planning, and production to identify and resolve inventory issues.
- Ensure that proper receipt of material is made in the ERP System, working with Buyers to resolve any issues/questions/concerns; provide retraining where needed.
- Monitor/control work-in-progress and finished goods inventory levels satisfying internal customer demands.
- Work closely with planning department to ensure WH locations of existing parts and newly created parts being added to the system are designated properly in the ERP System.
- Ensure timely A13 cycle counting by warehouse staff, to include reconciling all warehouse cycle counts and perform weekly cycle count of all computers stocked.
- Participate in all cycle count and physical inventory activities as assigned.
- Continually research and implement alternative or improved policies and procedures optimizing the inventory control methods used to obtain optimum inventory accuracies.
- Monitor/maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas of responsibility, assigning duties as needed, must include maintaining part and shelf labeling.
- Conduct weekly safety meetings with Material Handlers as outlined by the Safety Manager.
- Maintain Material Handler safety compliance.
- Review monthly customer part shipment errors with Material Handlers.
- Other duties as assigned.
